Because we (Gen-X / Millennials) grew up in the time when things had SOUL because people worked their ass off to make them. Zoomers and Gen-A don't even understand the concept of soul and can't tell the difference.

Nah I think that's just millennial and zoomer cope, since they realized they'll never be able to compete with the greats so they had to resort to calling low effort trash soulful and good actually, and that they exist in a fully globalized world where every single piece of media needs to appeal to literally everyone and to offend literally no one in order to have a chance at success
