When they fought for education so that they could pursue a career and not have to be a stay at home mom and be completely reliant on a husband for an income. What happens when a man decides to leave a woman when she is uneducated and is 40 years old, and the kids are adults?
Women want someone who matches them, I think that's reasonable. When a woman is pursuing her dreams, and is putting effort into something, don't you think she'd want a husband with a similar drive? Women wanting a man who makes more than them is blown out of proportion. Yes gold diggers exist, yes some women are 10/10s and want a 10/10, there is nothing wrong with wanting a successful attractive partner.
