having proper and complete app backups is a nice to have
but the main reason why is still root my phone is because android doesn't let me lower my screen brightness past a certain level and i have to manually write to a sysfs node to make it go lower.
i understand why it doesn't let me because if i reduce screen brightness too much i get some pwm flicker but i can go lower than what android lets me just fine without giving myself a migrane.
