I've been following the guy for years before he started to make MLP content and I'll say. I can't speak for anyone, but for me personally the biggest appeal it's the ammount of freedom he represents.
Guy would do literally anything he wants, as an artist you'll be doomed to do whatever people like so you can survive in this landscape. Not him, he has been making Sonic Underground videos for close to a decade. And even he doesn't make them anymore in favor of making MLP content Im happy that the guy is getting the recognition he deserves. That kind of commitment and work ethic isn't found elsewhere very easily. Not without a dose of cynicism. Tamers seems proud of what he does and flaunts it. What other artist can you say has the guts to do what he does with no backsies or "haha just kiding this is all shitpost".
People also yearn for that side of the internet that didn't care all that much about being politically correct and just making stuff for the fun of it.
There's not much to the guy other than being pasionated about something and no matter how unpopular or "underground" said thing is he will make it the best he can. Whether you like it or not.
