maybe. The timing of the shots in SPP are identical, but the "smoothness" of the gameplay feels a bit off on the MM+ compared to the Deck. the easiest way to put it is that I swear it's like some frames feel a few milliseconds faster or longer than others
>I don't recall if MM is android or linux but its probably not a super up to date version
I don't think the OS would impact it much, because OnionOS and the MM+ in general is rooted in Linux, and so is the Deck. I can say from experience though, since I have multiple PCs, every game I've played on my gaming Windows PC feels better than on my Linux PC. And it's not a power issue, because both can max out Sonic Robo Blast 2's 144 fps for my monitor. But the "off" feeling going from my Windows PC to my Linux PC, with SRB2, is the same weird off-ness I feel going from the Deck to the MM+
>presuming both are using retroarch that shouldn't be too big of a thing tho
yeah, I don't think it's a retroarch issue since both are using it
>like run ahead to reduce input lag, but you probably haven't set that
I might on the Deck, it's been so long since I tweaked performance settings. I know I knew enough about that aspect of RA to actually open up the performance settings menu and try tweaking it, only to to undo said tweaks since it was too much for the MM+ to handle.
Also to ask another question to the thread, is there another chinkheld with better specs, as popular as the MM+, with an OnionOS styled suspend? I ask because I was curious and looked on Etsy for knickknacks and MM+ paraphenalia, and after seeing the absolute swathe of novelty stuff like primo buttons/d-pads, color options, accessories, etc, I'd enjoy having those options for when this piece of shit inevitably shits itself too, going by what Anons in the archive say is inevitable with all chinkhelds.
