You don't need to kill someone for their story to be concluded. They got back to Earth, move on. Fast forward 50 years like they did between Alien and Aliens. Have new protagonists, find new eggs.

This is definitely the conundrum with the Alien series. It's the executives that decided Ripley needed to be in every fucking movie even after she died. The fans wouldn't have cared. It would have been a Predator 2-like story which worked fine without bringing back Dutch. And STILL they retardedly think that every new Alien movie protagonist needs to be a Ripley-eqsue clone with girlbosses tendencies turned up to 11.
