There's a chance he's being genuine, there's also a chance he doesn't even play it at all.
Personally I can't fucking stand it. I greatly dislike the visual style and the universal mechanics.

I think it's great. The presentation is absolutely 10/10
The gameplay is not 10/10 but I think it's fun. The skill floor is extremely low and most characters and their combo structure are very straightforward, but optimizing shit is difficult enough, and opening up opponents has enough nuance to make it interesting.
Some of the characters in the game are absolute cancer to play against but at this point the game has a nice variety of characters with different play styles and even the weakest characters in the game are fairly usable so no 8-2 matchups or similar shit in it.
