Since I doubt the last 40 pages will have particularly relevant information, some random thoughts as a first timer before I forget :

>hilariously mismanaged secondary cast, I really didn't expect Terryman's kid to be THIS irrelevant out of all people, but I'm kinda sad Wally never got action too
>overall agree that Mantaro really feels too cowardly, Suguru's constant giving up was also annoying through the OG but he felt more consistent once the stakes were set
>Kevin is really not a tenth as bad as you guys were constantly complaining about, I honestly don't know what the big deal is. Maybe I'll change my mind in the Utag storytime, but I was more annoyed with Warsman
>The Meat worship is a bizarre angle to try when he's Nisei's worst character by a mile. Complete killjoy, constant nagging, half the time you feel he really would rather be somewhere else and hate Mantaro with a passion.
>People say Nisei is bad because it's edgy (not completely untrue), but I feel the series would be better if it was a more straightforward edgier take on Kinnikuman. I feel the worst parts of Nisei is when it tries to have some moral, everytime it comes out as schizophrenic

Overall, it feels definitely awkward, which is unfortunate because the elements are there. Most of the new characters are solid, Kevin / Mantaro is a very funny rival dynamic that needed to be used more, villains were surprisingly entertaining and I feel Nisei hits a nice middle ground between gimmicks and more technical wrestling that neither of the other series manage.
Well, honestly I'd keep at it at that if it wasn't for the Chojin Olympics. Seriously, what the fuck was up with that arc? It feels like everyone there went insane, including the authors. It has no tonal continuity with the rest of the manga at all. Was Yudetamago having a bad year?
