Oh like that, yeah Nietzsche gets associated with nazis a lot since they really co-opted his message for their own use. He wasn't exactly a nazi himself but I'll be honest he did have a poor view of the masses and believed in like, dominance and power dynamics, master & slave style morality. That is to say: I'm not here making a full-throated endorsement for his philosophy, just discussing it for the topic (2001 movie). I like the song and painting too. I fell asleep the first two times I watched it, when I was a kid. It's slow paced for sure. I took lots of smoke breaks this time and watched it over hours since it's quite long. The part near the end when he enters the thing's mind and goes through the crazy computer dimension was really cool imo. They should do a 2002 odyssey part 2 where he flies a fighter jet in and shoots off a nuke
