The main reason why israel/palestine is so relevant is because to most people it's a very simple conflict with a clear victim and oppressor - and western countries give billions of dollars to those they consider the oppressor
that's it. other conflicts like stuff in africa and russia/ukraine seem too complicated or like worthless infighting, so people are less likely to be interested

>palestinians aren't indigenous to that land
>the founding leaders of israel never admitted to being terrorists or thieves
>palestinians weren't being exiled and killed BEFORE the war started
>gaza and west bank aren't occupied
