Hi point's use of it is one of the more honest and sensible, being a big, dumb block of it for weighing the blowback that doesn't try to look like anything other than a big dumb block

By contrast the 9mm ring of fire guns are a poor and dishonest use of it, being underbuilt for their caliber.
While lower caliber examples get by decently well, a 9mm Kb is a lot more dramatic than a .32 or .25 so catastrophic failure is inherently less dangerous.
