I would've had more respect for you if you had some integrity with this question, /an/, but I feel as though you want to save face on the issue of what you actually are in comparison to other so called 'lesser' lifeforms. You are a big brained monster with many flaws created by evolution, and perhaps God Itself to make some sort of point about this ephemeral reality.

If you're an average white male you have less freedom than before 1865, and you would be silly to defend postmodernity as such an individual unless you benefit from it immensely being part of the moneyed class which is tied to no other characteristic but capital. If you defend postmodernity you must defend capital alone because that is your ideology. That is your cornerstone and nothing else, ultimately.
