Man I loved the Savage World stuff. My kids still play with the Batcave constantly. It's exactly what you want out of a playset.
In my experience Savage World hold together better than Primal Age. I've got a pile of broken DC dudes but at least their gear is pretty nice for swapping.
The worst part about Savage is that they don't grip their weapons for shit.

For me He-Ro is kind of like a Zap Brannigan type. Loud, flashy and annoys the shit of out Wun-Dar. More the type to show up at the last second and claim they did it all and saved the day.
I like what you were thinking about Man and Ro being antagonistic though, my mind went there with Sun Man.
