You know what other game whiplashes from serious and drama filled moments to absolute nuthouse moments at the drop of a hat? Yakuza. In all my years of gaming, I think Nikke is the only other game that can pull off Yakuza's crazy tonal whiplashes while still maintaining a coherent world as well as Yakuza does. If you're incapable of holding two simultaneous truths in your mind, that a story or world can be both sexy and genuinely emotional (if done properly), then get filtered.
