Okay Linux frens, does anyone know if there is a program that can properly monitor the 12V2X6 pins of an Asus Astral 5090 (probably some other Asus GPU models like Strix / TUF may have it, or other models like a 5080 or 5070Ti, but not sure)? Then again some anons said that this is a feature only used in Strix / Astral so I could be wrong.
On Windows, it can be viewed via Asus' GPU Tweak III utility. Pic related over on the right. Mouseover it and it shows the exact amperage of each pin/wire. like
>Pin1 - 0.34A
and so on for all of them. This is a way to be sure that you are not going to fuck up and melt your cable or anything hasn't gone shitty with power delivery. The little green lights apparently change to yellow or red if they are way too high or too low, like if you had a couple wires with no power and others making up the slack pulling way too much etc. I find it unique that it mentions its 12VHPWR and if that is because it can detect the difference between a 12VHPWR and 12V2X6 PSU that is even more impressive (Mine is the former, I have an ATX3.0 PSU, before ATX 3.1 with the 12V2X6 became available).
In any event, if this Asus GPU Tweak III software is pulling down all that data, the card must be feeding it to the OS somehow. Is there some Linux util that can pull it down properly? If it could also monitor and control the temps, fans that would be great; lighting control would be cool as well but its Asus AuraSync so I assume that most utils for that on Linux should be able to read that aspect, so the pins/voltages and the other stuff is really the most important. Anyone?
