The exploding hands shit is terrible. They are absolutely afraid of giving him a toolkit or options. They were afraid to give him more than one sword and gun or style, in DMC4, which is why that game is so shit, Wait TEN YEARS for Nero to get some new skills and they are hands you have a very limited quantity of you have to blow up permanently in order to use more than one in a fight.

I think the worse thing about Nero in 5 though is that they finally solved having to crab claw Blue Rose charge attack down forever in order to deal damage because he now loads special ammunition you can gently deploy on your next shot...ONLY TO REINTRODUCE HOLDING THAT GODDAMN BUTTON DOWN WHEN HE GETS HIS DEVIL TRIGGER AGAIN. It was right there!
