They needed to be defeated. I'm not sure if many of them deserved to die. It's certain that killing them without any recovery process will only cause more harm. That's the problem with Gunvolt. He breaks the world over his knees, then leaves. He doesn't stick around to help put things back together and build a better future. He doesn't consider how nuking one faction may enable others to carry out their evil plans. He doesn't consider the issues that pushed Nova and Zonda towards their drastic plans. He just melts in the background, content that things will work themselves out, until another calamity threatens his butterfly. Gunvolt is a very reactive person, but you can't judge him too harshly; he's only 14.
