To be fair, this is a lot closer to on-model than a lot of ZSS fanart. Between Zero Mission and Dread, Samus really was just a hot chick in a space catsuit under the armor. So that was true of her for longer than not within the scope of the franchise. Dread was the game that finally gave her a more muscular, warrior-like build.
