I'm reporting back. It's been surprising.
Turns out the pinball has been swapped by... another basketball-themed pinball! Which is very curious, considering basketball is absolutely non-existent here (western Europe).
I ordered a beer and asked the old lady (all tanned and leathery) if I could turn it on. She said "go ahead".
Turns out it's a pretty bad pinball: bad condition (the balls were almost rusty) and the rules were extremely shallow; it all came down to getting as many multiballs as possible to score, as far as I understand. Since the skill ceiling at that bar was low, judging from the scores, I managed to get a couple of specials (free credit) without bothering to look up the rules. I ended up with 6 games for 2€.
And at one point, a fucking boomer barged in and exclaimed "WOW A PINBALL! THEY STILL EXIST?!". He then proceeded to talk to me how bars were like in the 60s and 70s, etc. I politely listened while playing but it wasn't interesting.
By that point I was bored out of the machine so I told him to play "my" remaining credit. He seemed surprisingly happy about playing pinball again after all those decades.
