Not a single published work of media with any mid to large size budget has been created in 20 years that isn't birthed in progressive ideology. This complete homogenization of creative expression to espouse left wing thought is an impressive feat of silent threats... nobody talks about it, but everyone knows that if you produce any media that isn't toing the party line for the globalist, progressive left, your career will quietly end, you won't get invited to any more parties, and your job prospects will be null... and before any of that happens your project simply won't get funded.

Even fairly progressive TV shows like Law and Order in their early seasons would take a political topic and have likable characters strongly argue both sides of a contested topic (religion, abortion, self defense, immigrants taking jobs, etc.) This made for some fascinating stories! But we can't have anything interesting like that anymore, because all media must also function as progressive propaganda.

Due to this complete cultural control by the global left (enforced quietly through social, academic and career pressures) modern media, including games, is incapable of telling good stories.

How can you have a memorable roster of companions or even a decent story in a fantasy rpg when you cannot portray a strong, white male heroic noble character? When you cannot have any women that aren't extremely competent, powerful, and bossy? When you cannot portray any race or monster as pure evil? When you are only allowed to sexualize men or gay men, but never women? When the bad guys must be white or religious or conservative? When all immigrants and refugees must always be good?

Hopefully we are at a cultural turning point as the world seems fairly sick and tired of the leftist bullshit, but it will take a while for more centrist or right wing media to return.
