Having to play like shit on purpose for something to play like a real RPG is not good design. This is some self-serve difficult horseshit.
I'm well aware of how ridiculously easy the game is to break with pictos, but the evasion mechanics and parrying already break the game so hard that you also don't even need to pay that much attention to them either.
