That's fine, GW1 isn't for everyone, game is designed more like a cooperative RPG with team based elements in a world where most MMO's nowadays are "playing solo together" with your only meaningful interactions with other players often being seeing them "exist" in the world, and occasionally doing dungeons with them. As each game endlessly try to copy eachother (and WoW) and often fail miserably. Few games are willing to boldly explore new frontiers, why play a WoW clone when you can just play WoW after all.

The reason we still play this game is because there's simply nothing else like it on the market, there's no true successor to GW1 because GW2 tried to follow the WoW path (and failed miserably) making a game that didn't appeal to GW1 fans, or many WoW players. There's not really been another MMO designed in the same team based structure GW1 has with it's deck building skill system, theory crafting teams and designing heros who synergize together is fun.

It's why even though the last PvP balance patch was 13 years ago, the PvP scene is still thriving here and starting to grow as more people become aware of it.
