Not him, but,
Rejecting Kogasa hits her right in her biggest psychological weakpoint.
At first she tries to brush her confession off as a joke, but her eyes start watering, and her voice begins to tremble. She clutches her umbrella tightly to herself, covering her face with the lip. Insisting she's fine, but she can barely stand without leaning on it. Still, she puts on the bravest face she can, biting at her lower lip, and gently trying to excuse herself. The waterworks flow when you're out of earshot. She whimpers over and over again that she thought you were different.
But she doesn't know what went wrong. She thought she was so helpful, so useful that you had to want to be with her forever. Why else would you keep seeing her?
You find her, a few days later, curled up in a big pile of discarded objects and refusing to come out.
