there's usually a cope A rank option.
for example seed + SSanby/orphie wants trigger, but could also do with pulchra
lucia + fufu/pan wants yid/shifu, but could also do with manato
etc
(matching the core requirements is good, but it's not a must. nicole for example is a universal A support)
my point is that while yes, banner agents are meant to be played together, there's plenty of mixing and matching that you can do
you're better off picking a build style
>on-field anomaly + off-field anomaly + support/defense (is the cheapest options)
>on stunner + off stunner + attacker
>on attacker + off attacker + off stunner (coming up in the next update)
>on rupture + off stunner + rupture special supporter/defender
>on anomaly + attacker + support/defense/off-stunner/off-anomaly (right now only haru and anton)
as far as i can recall, there might be other builds, and the devs are sure to add even more
i wouldn't say there's a "best" one. miasma technically cucks stunners, as you can't build up stun during it. but i've not seen anyone complain in practice
there are also a couple of enemies who are immune to anomaly build up unless it's from a specific element. but you are supposed to have several elements covered if you're building anomalies anyway
rupture agents are basically a pure power creep on attackers. as for "aftershock", i wouldn't say that's a proper build just yet, it's just another way to screw over attackers by diving who gets buffs and who doesn't
yid and lucia are about to bring "ether veil:health", and i suspect the next void hunter will specially in "ether veil:X" mechanics
>saving
it's generally better to save if you can. that's why you should prioritize getting agents you like. be it because of looks or playstyle, and then just do the best you can with that. soon enough (around every 6 months) they will have a rerun for balls and duper anyway, and soon enough they will have a viable teammate released as well
