here's the current state of the game modes
>story content / open world exploration
>daily content (energy grinds, low intensity HZ runs)
you can clear it with anything. if struggling as f2p, use piper+lucy
>high intensity HZ runs
you can clear it with trial S ranks
>Shiyu(piller)Defence
>DeadlyAssult
both SD and DA need 2 teams to get the max poly rewards. SD needs S rank clears and DA needs 6 stars (technically 5, since any random build can get 1 star on the 3rd fight)
i don't know what the lowest investment is to clear those. but 2 S agents with 2 S balls and 1 A agent and 1 A ball per team should be more than enough to clear them comfortably
there is something to be said about going wide, as new banners tend to be power creeps, and the enemy HP creep could leave you behind on some rewards, but we also get free S agents occasionally, free A balls, etc etc, so it's not likely to be an issue any time soon

this is the biggest factor for deep investment, as it's the main score based endgame content
to clear it for max poly, you just have to not get hit, so technically you can clear with anyone
though recently they added a timer, which cucks many A rank agents. if you have the above mentioned 2 teams, you'll be fine
but if you wanted to keep pushing for pointlessly being ranked top 1% on your server, then yeah, invest deep
though, keep in mind that because of this game mode works, some characters are better than others. in pericular when it comes to healing. shifu's "healing" is really good here, vivian's invincibility frames too, astra and caesar's healing and shield should also be decent. but you can only bring 3 characters at a time, my point is some agents are better than others to deep invest here
you can technically bring up to 9 agents on endless tower, but again, it's "endless", you're not supposed to lose anyone. it should be considered just a help with a certain element or boss

there are also a couple of enemies who are immune to anomaly build up unless it's from a specific element. but you are supposed to have several elements covered if you're building anomalies anyway
rupture agents are basically a pure power creep on attackers. as for "aftershock", i wouldn't say that's a proper build just yet, it's just another way to screw over attackers by diving who gets buffs and who doesn't

Here are a few hard-to-swallow pills about 2.X:

1. 2.0 was a disaster. Yixuan and Jufufu are ok, but not charismatic enough to save the absolute shit story and temple management minigame. Their outfits are not ZZZ-esque either, and the events were ok at best.

2. 2.1 was a perfect storm of charismatic agents, great story, and very good events. This patch is the only reason I haven't given up on ZZZ. Honestly, probably the third best patch ever.

3. I'm not a fan of Seed's design, but I love Orphie, and OBOL Squad is my second favourite faction, so I'm cautiously optimistic. If 2.2 is half as good as 2.1, I'm happy already.
4. 2.3's agents almost made me lose all hope for ZZZ again. Those two bitches look like they're straight out of Genshin, and it just doesn't make sense in ZZZ's urban-like vibe. I truly hate it.

You can give Zhu the Hugo treatment, in that every shell she unloads deals bonus damage based on the enemy stun multiplier and will refuel the stun gauge after the stun based on the multiplier as well.
Normally each shell deals about 270% ATK in damage I think, so you just add the stun multiplier in ATK on top. So with 230% stun multiplier, you'd have 500% ATK per shell. Stun multiplier obviously still increases total damage.
For the daze bar refill, you divide the multiplier by 5, capped at 70%.

Then you make it so Robutt no longer needs 2 full EBA for boss' (like why did they even do that). And the cops are.. not just back, but actually extremely strong if the enemy doesn't cheat you out of stuns.

The biggest problem with both Lucia and Yidhari right now is that neither of their designs lean very well into both ZZZ and their core concepts. Since we're talking about agent designs, let's speak frankly about it, shall we?

Every single design from 1.0-1.4 is at least very good, no exceptions. They all fit ZZZ's style in some way, and even the "weak" ones like Harumasa's are still nice.

1.5-1.7 have some iffy designs, like Astra and Vivian's, but they still somehow work within the world and many people like them. They had some absolute home runs, however, like Evelyn and Trigger.

2.0... I don't like kung-fu mages, ok? At least Yixuan's alt costume is pretty cool.

2.1 was a return to former glory. Both Yuzuha and Alice look great, and their swimsuits aren't too shabby either.
