Finished watching that 4 hour indie game showcase and all I can say is that things are looking grim for (western) indieshits.
So much shovelware, so many clones, so many cozy games, so many card battlers, so many pixelshit platformers, so much generic forgettable music, so much uninspired slop.
I know the meme of "1000000 games get released on Steam every day" gets reposted a lot but if you make something that stands out even a bit AESTHETICALLY and GAMEPLAY-wise from all these middling copycat games you should easily make it with just a bit of word of mouth.
I also saw that Anon's guild manager game on there. Did he really pay to appear in it? Wow...
