Rick & Morty was never supposed to become another zombie cartoon with no ending in sight. Unlike Family Guy or Simpsons, it's always been building an ongoing narrative. You can't have lasting character arcs and then turn around and say your show "could last forever." Dan Harmon needs his ego checked.
