Anon it's been studied. Oxytocin is a real chemical not magical mumbo jumbo bullshit. They've run tests on it and apparently your body only makes it when you get hugged by someone else (or equivalent) but not when YOU initiate the hug with someone else.

It's like living your life on testosterone deficit or something.
