All the anime Fennekin line shown off were female, Delphox' fur acts like Miko trousers (as in it moves akin to trousers as Delphox runs/jumps) and Game Freak went and made it blatant by making the Unrivalled Delphox female (because all its inspirations come from traditionally female roles in Japanese culture).
