The 87.5% shit is entirely a dumb gameplay choice that was made to prevent breeding starters and popular Pokemon easy, biologically it makes no sense.
Gamefreak has admitted to some extent they fucked up in the past, they didn't realize that Gardevoir for instance looked way too feminine during gen 3, they clearly regretted not having made a male counterpart and that's how we got Gallade. Hell, every single feminine looking starter or Pokemon was 100% female when given as a gift or distributed through events, so even Gamefreak realized they fucked up with this again, but they're too stubborn to change it.
I wished they either made starters 50/50 or better yet, gave quite a few of them sexual dimorphism so there's no retarded trannymon argument anymore. These shitty discussions are so fucking tiresome by this point.

Lived on a farm with plenty of chickens, but thankfully she was bit too stupid and playful to really care about messing with other animals, she did nearly drive my grandmother's cat insane with how much she wanted to play with it. She didn't listen to me much in spite of me trying to train 'er, but was really friendly and energetic, and seemed to come running whenever I called her name, most likely because I got her when she was a really young kit and she imprinted on me a bit. I bathed her often enough that stench wasn't an issue, pooping and digging holes EVERYWHERE was absolutely a problem though, one of the biggest reasons my grandparents couldn't stand the poor thing anymore, the patio was riddled with so many holes that my grandfather, who already had issues walking was constantly complaining he might fall.
