That was probably me. Somebody was defending the crowbar theory weapon and I kinda sperged on him that we had seen the fucking weapon in Prater's vault and I pointed out that the manhole covers were part of the Dexter intro with a picture of it.
The NY Ripper is going to be a big point of contention.
Claudette catches him off screen and we get nothing but an aside next seaon explaining it, and we get two warring factions. The bait and switch cockblocked people who expected more, and the people crowing about subverting expectations and misdirection.

The show goes with the whole "Farm" aspect and we find out that Prater has a place for retired serial killers to hide when they get too hot for their own good. The catch being that they still have to provide some form of entertainment, like calling, emailing, or letters to their victims, or writing in depth details and descriptions for Prater to peruse later. Sort of a snack for Prater in between his serial killer meetings.
