Not surprising. Physical strength correlates strongly with political beliefs in men. Especially when it's natural strength without using the gym or steroids. The more naturally strong you are, the more you will hold conservative beliefs. Weak body=weak mind=leftist beliefs.

Personally I am very conservative and I benched 90kg first time in the gym at 80kg bodyweight. Now at 130kg after 6 months only.
