In democracy because it is a dishonest system which claims to invert reality (i.e. the people rule over government instead of government ruling over people) they will tell you that you can own land but charge you property tax which means you don't actually own land. They can also use eminent domain to confiscate land you imagine you own, for the purpose of building migrant housing or carbon capture pipelines or whatever other communist scheme they want and there's nothing you can do about it because democracy ensures nobody is ever held accountable.
