To elaborate more on my point, see pic related. If Microsoft added deep functionality to explorer and customization like Directory Opus, I wouldn't have ever hesitated to upgrade. Why would I inconvenience myself having to re setup all my shit for an OS that acts no different than the one before? What have they done to make my experience better to warrant a new OS version? If you do not provide a better service, I'll get it elsewhere or stay on my current setup.

They got complacent because they held the market share. Now instead of people going to competitors, they're actually having to compete with their old (better) selves. You cannot force people no matter how hard you try. They will take lesser options before they eat that fucking slop. Innovate or die.
