My biggest problem with this movie is the mangled morality.

Hercules makes a deal with Hades that he'll stay IF he can get Megara out of the Well of Souls.
>becomes a god
>punches Hades
>leaves with Meg
What about the deal?

>you became a god because you risked your life to save this woman
So the other times he almost got killed, like when he fought and was swallowed by the hydra he wasn't risking his life? Doing it to get his own girlfriend back is arguably less 'selfless' than saving random people to be a hero.

Also bugs me how often and rapidly the level of the Well of Souls changes in succession. Count them. Makes me think this scene was seriously reworked and shit cut out, (and the deal thing just being ignored was a ham-fisted consequence):

>inb4 because he's a god now
A bit like moving your pawn onto the final covered square, I go to take it with my rook and you say I can't because it has been promoted to a queen now. Not how any of this works. They at least needed to lay out some rules about that beforehand. If you're a god your deals don't count?
