is that there's this rhetoric that snk was playing it safe, but they're spending so much money in the process to make little if any back, which really gets subtracted from their payroll of 400-strong and then some including logistics and 3rd party expenditures like marketing and promotional work, so it's operating at a loss anyway
so they supposedly play it safe making the game itself, but all that excess spending elsewhere really puts a blast on their finances

if you're going to throw money into a fire pit like that, at least take risks in the process with the game itself, and not listen to shitty talking heads like maximilian "pegasus" "etna's talking penguins" d00d, because, at the very least, you can attribute losses to the risks you've taken, and that can put you over with a crowd better than playing it safe
