Haha... Ohh boy... A lot of the anti-war people liked when they were raping Koreans and the various ethnic groups in China. And didn't like when one napalm bomb would destroy an entire city in Japan. I think that's still somewhat relevant in VNs, because this attitude only stopped being the dominant interpretation in Japanese media in the last decade. And that would include VNs about history.
