No one in the Berseria cast could be described as boring besides maybe Laphi and even then the context of Velvet seeing her brother in him fleshes him out as a character along with the interactions between them.
One must be mentally ill to think that Velvet's charisma loses to Alphen's sad boy vibes or to think that either Rinwell, Law, Kisara or Dohalim are interesting characters when compared to the likes of Eizen, Magilou or Rokurou

The best part of Arise are Alphen and Shionne and honestly the game would have been better if it wasn't called Tales Of and if they removed every main character except for those two, making it a more personalized adventure with room for growth between them.
