This reminds me of some "Ukrainian" "performance arts" production that happened in my city during the maidan. It was pretty gay but the media kept covering it and they kept pushing the public to show up and partake of the ritual.

It also reminds me of some documentary on Chernobyl that I think was a netflix production. The gist of it was the nuclear disaster was really a secret Russian plot to kill innocent Ukrainians and that would somehow prevent anyone from knowing the Duga Radar Array wasn't working as intended. At one point in the documentary the director / star goes to a kindergarten in Chernobyl, strips naked, covers himself in plastic wrap, and then dances around with a torch.
