>The MayoTuna threads have some shit slinging but they're actually pretty nice compared to comparable series

They were initially… but now? I wouldn’t say so. With every new thread, there’s way more pointless shit-slinging and braindead spam that barely resembles discussion or people actually enjoying the series. It’s also long since turned into the main Toubunfag gathering spot. I still peek there occasionally, but the early comfy vibe is pretty much gone. I have to ignore the vast majority of posts just to find any semblance of sanity. It’s still far from Toubun-level disaster, but seeing MayoTuna slowly become its spiritual successor is depressing.

I was in the Bokuben threads from the very beginning, and I remember how that more episodic SoL romcom (one that wasn’t even heavy on competition) gradually turned into the same toxic cesspool of lunatic shitflinging, waifu tribalism, and pointless “pseudo-discussions.” After experiencing multiple classic romcom runs on /a/, I’ve grown extremely bored and tired of this endless “horse race” cesspool pattern of threads. The entertainment and discussion value just doesn’t come close to justifying the time spent there. I don’t get enough positive return to seriously invest in those types of romcom threads anymore, so I barely visit them and only check those series sporadically.

Honestly if series like 100kano didn't exist as stable positive and relaxed harem anchor I would have grown absolutely cynical towards any type of harem and romcom series.
