Grass needs type-matchup buffs.
Of the starter types, Grass is by far the weakest, being the only one with more types that resist it than it can hit super-effectively, and it has more weaknesses than it does resistances.
>Grass is offensively strong against 3 types, resisted by 7 types; Defensively resists 4 types, weak to 5 types.
>Fire is offensively strong against 4 types, resisted by 4 types; Defensively resists 6 types, weak to 3 types.
>Water is offensively strong against 3 types, resisted by 3 types; Defensively resists 4 types, weak to 2 types.
Grass should be super-effective against, and resist, both Ghost and Fairy.
In folklore, plant-based things like dreamcatchers are used to ward off spirits and the like.
So it would thematically make sense for Grass to repel and be strong against some spirit-like types, being Ghost and Fairy.
Both of these types are considered some of the strongest in the entire game, so giving them a slight nerf while buffing Grass seems fair to me.

Yeah and Fire's immune to Burns. And both Fire and Water have real weather (Not terrains) that boost their types by 50%.
Give Grass some love.
