I still can't believe amongst all the classic video game franchises like Ape Escape, F-Zero, Megaman Legends, Half-Life, Portal, Ridge Racer etc which actually NEEDED a new entry in the last 20 odd years and were ripe for sequels by their very nature? They all died. But somehow Silent Hill - which is a setting that can really only be done a handful of times - is fucking milked to hell and back with the most uninteresting slop for those same 20 years.
