Turkey is shutting down Israeli economy?

According to a March Bank of Israel report, Turkey has been a significant source of imports to Israel over the past 15 years. In 2023, the volume of imports of Turkish-made goods estimated to approximately $5.3 billion, which is approximately 6.3% of total Israeli imports. The value of imports purchased in Turkey was approximately $4.6 billion, and Turkish-made goods worth at least $660 million were purchased through third-party markets.

Turkey was an important source of construction and manufacturing inputs for Israel: about half of all imports of cement, gypsum and their products, and about a fifth of all imports of iron and steel came from Turkey. Israel also imported from Turkey, on a large scale, plastics and their products, vehicles, machinery and electronic equipment.
