On Facebook there are a good amount of people who play 40k in Baja California I live near there. Usually only one big group per each large region tho. So there are warhammer players just near the border usually since it's hard to source stuff it seems. I'm trying to get my cousins into it and I've gifted them a bunch of models and had to also get them hobby supplies since some of the stuff is hard to find in their area. So yeah people are into it but the barrier of entry is way harder than in the west.
