What is your guys' opinion on buying refurbished PSU's?

I found a refurbished Corsair SF1000L on Amazon for a little over $100, but it's through Amazon Renew, which I'm pretty sure is just re-packaged returns.

I know the golden rule is to not cheap out on power supplies, but I find it really hard to pay nearly double for the equivalent in a small form factor.

Any way to get around this restriction? Unless I can get around my cellular's tethering restrictions, I feel like I need to hit up a public wifi, assuming that's not locked down as well...

I used to associate Prime's as sensible purchases, but I'm progressively loosing my affinity towards Asus as of late.
