I was rereading the manga and Orochimaru is a serial killer but he just doesn't contribute to the plot the same way Mayuri does. He doesn't have the polite mannerisms Freiza has. Kishimoto's handwriting is weird with religious imagery but no consistency. Part 1 feels like a 90s anime, part 2 feels modern
