No, you dont need to rush them, you can play until the bar runs out and when it does you get one more chance to go there as long as you can reach it. In fact, it's better for you to spend as much time out of the forest as you can so you can get more upgrade resources. Most of the replayability does come from the difficultly, which gets much harder later on, but there's also alot that comes from world modifiers and events which shake up the gameplay just enough to keep you intrested. You also get access to more buildings, cornerstones, species, all of which brings new gameplay styles alters the way you can build your settlements. Playing one per day is a soild way to prevent burnout, because I do agree that the game IS very samey even with everything that I said. Personally, I love the repetition, it tickles the autistic part of my brain in just the right way, but if you're not that into the repetition, it will eventually get tiring. The game is designed so that you can have a "completed" experience by about 30-40h, which is when the game asks you directly "are you still having fun? Do you think it's too repetitive? Are you going to take a break bro?" Lol. After that you can choose to continue to take on harder challenges or you can keep playing on the more easy difficulties just to relax and enjoy yourself
How far into the game are you? What's your favorite biome and species so far?
