This is why aliens give messages to randos, because the governments and people with power will just keep it’s a secret. Also the ones giving these messages to us could be “good guys” warning us about the ones they’ve been keeping away from us. The 3i/Atlas could potentially be one of the ones they’ve been “keeping away”, but Carla Sagan kinda ruined by sending the message out like an idiot. lol

I think the ones giving these messages are the Orion council. They influence things accross the universe with telepathy . The ones being kept from us might not have even known they were being diverted from finding us.
