This guy though, he's just a few feet away from them by himself, and he even appears to be aiming at charlie after the shot is fired.

Need more info on pic related, if he isn't the shooter then surely he would have seen him. If the shot came from the front, this guy should have a decent view of the shooter, if it came from behind charlie's right side, this guy would be very close to the shooter.
