just anywhere? in any street? do you just kinda chase one down to stop them if they walk past? do you purposefully bump into them so you can make a comment? what if you're walking right behind them, or in front? what if they're on the opposite side of the road? what if they have headphones on? or are carrying shopping bags? what if they're clearly rushing somewhere? what if they're with a friend, or in a group? what if they're on the phone? what if they look annoyed, or like they don't want to be approached at all? what if you accidentally scare them by coming up too fast? what if they think you're following them? what if they suddenly turn into a shop and you have to follow them inside, do you still ask then, or is that weird? what if it's raining and they're holding an umbrella, do you tap the umbrella, or just yell through the rain? what if they're walking a dog that hates strangers?
please help me understand the logistics of this.
